Please don't add posts, or edit posts, simply to bump up the thread.
If a thread is informative and important enough, we can make it a "sticky" - but I don't think this one qualifies :o

Also, since you are so keen to find similarities among all right wing ideologies, have you thought about doing one between GW Bush and Herr Adolf Hitler?

I think that will be your best bet - you will find more commonalities between those two, rather than among any others.

Yo hold your horses...Thisthread was to drive a point home since ppl did not see the parallels. I am willing to let it die its natural death within a week...after everyone got a chance to see it.

I may decide to do a comparitive analysis on Hitler, Bush and Advani.

Please dont tell me not to add posts! I think that mod position may be going to places its not supossed to.

Thanks for bumping it up yourself.

BTW: is this the first forum you are part of? I'm asking because bumping up the thread is common in forums.

I would have sent you a PM if that were the intent.

Not sure about Bush, but I have some quotes that identify some similarities between certain RSS idealogues and Herr Hitler!

This one is from the UK's "Indepedent" newspaper in an article from 1998.

I quote from the article:
Start quote "Madhav Gowalkar, the early RSS leader still known simply as "guru", took Hitler's attitude to his own "semitic" problem as his inspiration. "To keep up the purity of the nation and its culture, Germany shocked the world by the purging of its semitic race, the Jews," he wrote
in We, or Our Nationhood Defined. "National pride at its highest has been manifested there. Germany has also shown how well-nigh impossible it is for races and cultures having differences going to the root to be
assimilated."
End quote

Several references have been made to this particular quote and can be found on the internet by a Google search.

Incidentally, M S Gowalkar has also been identified as one of the early influences on L K Advani........

Wow!. Makes me realise how lucky we are in Canada(even tho the socio-economic realities are different from that of India or the US).

Our conservatives are probably more(if not the same as) to the left than the democrats :D. Canadians seem to have gravitated towards the centre, rather than be polarised to the left and right. Hopefully India and the US can follow suit.

Ofcourse, theres also the realisation how fragile all this is. Something on the scale of 9/11 on canadian soil, and things will probably go to the dogs.

I suggest that you incude Sonia Gandhi also in your comparative analysis since she has murdered democracy in Goa and Jharkand...
