Hello to all,
Can any one tell me please that how much money can bring a persone comming on visitor visa to canada from India.

The last time I knew about it ( a few years back ) was USD5000 per person in a year . That could have changed. If somebody is coming from India ask them to verify with Thomas Cook / Any Bank dealing in FX or ask anybody who has visited US/Canada.

There's no limit. However, you have to inform Customs if you are bringing over $10,000

Massood,
There might not be restriction by Canadian Customs on how much we can bring to Canada . But is there any restriction from India on how much can a person take out of the country esp on a visitor visa.

FOr example can we get 10000 CAD by exchanging equivalent rupees in RBI or THomas Cook etc?

You can take out USD 10,000 per calender year per person.

Just go to any Bank / Thomas Cook/ Permitted Money Changer/American Express dealing with Foreign Exchange

Take along
1. Indian Rupees Demad Draft
2.Copy of Income Tax PAN
3. Valid visa on Passport
4. Airticket.

It is 15 minutes job.
You can do it by cash upto Rs.50,000/- equivalent only.

Current approximates:
USD 10,000 = Rs. 4,35,000 = CAD 12,208 per calender year/person
CAD 10,000 = Rs. 3,56,500
