Canadian Visitor Visa & US Visitor Visa Application

Dear Friends

My parents are in Canada on Visitor Visa (Multiple entry) and we plan to visit US for a week can they apply for visitor Visa for USA in Toronto? I know it is better to apply in India but now it is not possible .

Any experiences or advises are greatly appreciated.

I have heard, it's practically immpossible. We tried for my mom-in-law back in AUF 2002. She doesn't have any relative in US, my wife is the only daughter, yet they declined. They want applicants to apply from their country of residence. The same thing happened to one of our relatives, who were in US on visitors VISA, and were declined Canadian visitors VISA. If you get any success, pl do let me know.

almost impossible... visa's have been issued to visitors in canada, but only under exceptional circumstances (mostly medical)... have not heard of visa's being issued for tourism (recently anyway)... still you never know until you apply... but be prepared to be told to apply from your home country...

It was good to get your advice and views. I have decided not to apply for the Visitor Visa from Canada and save the money and pains.

Hey Manish,

That was a good decision. Although your parents may have had a desire to go to US as well, but believe me, they are not going to miss anything. There are so many good places in Canada, for you guys to go out. For eg. as my mom-in-law didn't get US Visa, we went to Montreal & Ottawa. She enjoyed it a lot. We even went to one lake resort in ON (abt 3 1/2 hr drive from TORONTO).
