Who says there is no corruption in Canada?
Somewhere in federal offices, there are two potted plants that cost taxpayers $975 each, a $1,000 doorbell and three rolling blinds worth $1,400.

The government also defended costs such as a $1,000 charge to remove and reconnect a light switch, saying it had to abide by provincial rules forcing the payment of four hours of work at overtime rates.

I am surprised that you are shocked by corruption in Canada. Either you are trying to start the same "India Vs Canada - which is better" war, or are ignorant. Greed knows no geographical boundaries. Corruption does not know the difference between India and Canada. It exists everywhere - but at what levels? that is the question.
Unlike India, corruption rarely exists on a lower lever. You don't find the cop, the "babu" at the government office, or the postman asking for a "maamool, or Inam (as they call it in Hyderabad, or "something-something". It may not be rampant, but does exist at higher levels. People rarely talk about it, and when they do, it doesn't make a difference. Whether it impacts the average Canadian, is however debatable.
Just as an example, the Ontario Government paid $ 1,00,000 to an advertising agency to "redesign" the trillium logo. There was a $ 100 million "sponsorship scandal" involving the liberals (?) a few years back. The provincial government increases the minimum wage by 25 cents every couple of years, but no MPP protested, when they gave themselves a 20 % pay hike. This may not be corruption, but an example of lack of ethics and morals.
There may be more cases of corruption , but the question is - does it make a difference, discussing them? I don't think so- people who are corrupt have no shame, sense of ethics or a concept of "right and wrong".
Where is corruption in the news article above? Did MP receive kickback from the electrician or company that supplied plants? The news article is talking about misspending of public money.
Corruption does exist as stated by NA.
