   Repodepo.ca: ...The website looks good but the pricing is same as with any dealers. Some cars that are cheaper have body damage and scratches. I am planning to go to a dealers auction some where in Mississauga this Thursday. I will let you guys know of my experience. Any more Desis who have already been to these kind of Dealer auctions??    ...I would think twice before renting an apartment as it is a one year commitment and you are at a better position to rent one , once you have a job as most of the lease need you to be earning as well as you know which area you will be in ... Suppose you rent an apartment in Toronto but get a job @ Mississauga , you are stuck !! Also moving is a big head ache .... I would stay temporarily for 1-2 months or till I get a job and then decide .

   ...I have been searching for one in Scarborough area, ever since moving from Austin, Texas. For some reason, there are not many Mexican's in Toronto. There is no restaurant in Scarborough that I can fine in Yellow Pages. They list Taco Bell :( There are I think one or two in Toronto downtown. I will have to check this one you suggest in Mississauga, next time we go there.

The funds can be invested through TFSA/RRSP while investing through NRE/NRO channel will have no tax advantages. These funds invest money in INR in Indian equity markets. The fund appreciates or depreciates in value based on two factors currency rate and Indian equity markets. Going by what is happening, CAD has been depreciating and Indian stock market is good on long term basis. Regardless the returns are better from long term perspective. For eg the mutual fund has given 14% return YTD which is 6 months....

   Go to ICBC directly and bring your Indian license with you...: ...Yes, you're right. They have discontinued this service. I am not sure if you have tried this alternate way. You can directly go to the ICBC location with your Indian license when you have to appear for the test, or just drop in by to inquire what is needed. I have experienced people do the latter most of the time. I don't think they require authenticate foreign license here in BC. Please do this and come back to update us with the procedure, if you may.

   ... share my timeline with you, here it is: I got my acknowledgement on Apr 13th 04 Then got my interview waiver / request for medicals letter on Nov 20th 04(do note that they have requested for my Indian PCC and FBI along with updated bank statements) I got my medicals done Dec 14th. I am waiting to get my FBI fingerprints and Indian PCC. Once I send those, I guess I will have something lined up. But I don't have an idea as to what may happen after that. Does it take that long after medicals? Man, that's too much time. BTW, I have submitted my ROLF along with my application. Thanks!

The return leg though BOM-YYZ was a shade better. Even their inflight entertainment had the same movies/shows on both sectors. In a Design firm, people could be sued for making a wrong drawings, in Sales field people can go wrong if they run into an accident while on company's business, in food industry people can be sued if they mix the wrong proportions of food, in manufacturing units you could be sued if you manufacture to wrong specifications a product etc.... In India, these mistakes will be buried underground but in Canada justice will not be done unless the cost of the mistake is deducted from the person who made the mistake.
