   ...I would think twice before renting an apartment as it is a one year commitment and you are at a better position to rent one , once you have a job as most of the lease need you to be earning as well as you know which area you will be in ... Suppose you rent an apartment in Toronto but get a job @ Mississauga , you are stuck !! Also moving is a big head ache .... I would stay temporarily for 1-2 months or till I get a job and then decide .

   Go to ICBC directly and bring your Indian license with you...: ...Yes, you're right. They have discontinued this service. I am not sure if you have tried this alternate way. You can directly go to the ICBC location with your Indian license when you have to appear for the test, or just drop in by to inquire what is needed. I have experienced people do the latter most of the time. I don't think they require authenticate foreign license here in BC. Please do this and come back to update us with the procedure, if you may.

   Spouse visa 2010: ...Hi Guys, My wife submitted the application for sponsoring me to Mississauga office on 22 March 2010,and now is 29 April 2010, there is no answer yet. So will someone help me please that how much time they will going to take to give us any result.Is there any way to check our status of our application.

   ...Hi, Is there any desi looking for s/w job with Unix and Database background. I know of a contract job with reputed firm(Bank). Please note, I am not a recruiter. I know of this position as a paki guy is leaving (or he is being kicked out ) and the manager is indian. Manager is the only indian in that firm and rest of the staff is chinky. If you have the unix and db skill and looking for job, you can try your luck. You would have 95% chances of becoming employee - if hired as contractor.
