good find..I have actually lived and done my schooling in lucknow.

To this date there stands a fort called "Residency" which was attacked by the sepoys in the Mutiny of 1857.The battle that followed was one of the deadliest ever.

Students from my brother's alma-mater (La-Martiniere College)
actually fought from the British Side in that era.The college was a fort donated to become a college after the founder died ( Major Claude Martin) and to this date there stands a victory tower.
