i always read all the topics (pretty much all) and enjoy the responses and the questions.. okay now this question is for my friend who goes to a college in toronto..
heres the situation..
1.this person lands in canada on 4th of january and attends college (paid the full years fee in advance) and drops the semester.
2.doesnt take the semester in summer and works like any other students except that he was working under the table .. 
now we all know wat under the table means
3.repeats the first semseter again in spetember.. attends college but is weak in 2 out of his 4 subjects.
he realizes that the major he chose was hard for him and now wishes to change the major and attend a different college. He already has an acceptance letter for his program frm the new college. his visa expires in january so what shud he do ? what are the chances that his visa will not be rejected.
his financial position: always pays his fees and father sends money frm back home always.. quite stable fellow.. has been homesick ..first time travel to an outside country. thanks

He should be alright as long as he continues to be a genuine student.

and does to them a genuine student mean a student who has enough funds in his bank and has money to pay fees along an acceptance letter ?
