if there is someone from alberta..can anyone read local newspapers and tell me the names of indian lawyers there..

Is Alberta a relatively easier / better place for new Immigrants to get jobs in their own fields as compared to Ontario / BC ? .
If yes as it appears from this thread then which fields have more prospects ??? Does IT figure ??

Engineering fields have excellent prospects in Alberta. Mechanical and Chemical Engineers in particular are very much in demand here. Alberta is a rich province because of the oilsands - recently Alberta had an un-budgeted surplus of about 4 billion dollars (thats over and above the budgeted surplus).
Calgary, Edmonton and Fort McMurray all are booming cities. Calgary and Edmonton also boast sizeable desi communities (if that matters), I dont know about desi population in Fort McMurray.
IT is good but not as big as Engineering.
