Hi everyone
Dear All,

I know this may sound repetitive,but may be if someone can help.I have got a valid work permit and I am looking for a job in here.I moved in Dec 2009 from India,still searching for job...

Just to add i have 4 and half year customer service exp...and i have done MBA in Finance and IT from India.

Moreover ,i have heard that they dont entertain experience abroad ... how do i approach them as i dont have any reference etc.

I am ready for the sub way ,tim horton job...

Also in case some short term course can help me to get a job...pls suggest...

you can go to HCR employment agencies since they are recruiting. talk to John mackintyre and send him cv. you have to attend orientation for one day and they will place immdly.

If you are not ready to lift weight then please tell them and refuse to lift weight. it is labour jobs unless magna power absorb you within 1-2 months, the pay is $11.5 to $12.5 per hour. they will give you light work if you tell them but please note you ahve to stand for 8 hours except for 15-20 mts lunch/dinner break.

get admission in CMA, along with MBA in finance, you should get something as a step in the industry...then you may choose to carry on & finish studying side by side or drop out.

Try to get some contacts through community agencies and sites like linkedin who have a similar job to what you are looking. Get some informational interviews and how they got a job, etc.

If financial situation is difficult and you must work in labour jobs or Tim Hortons, etc., then I would suggest not mentioning MBA, etc., because you would be over qualified and they will not give job because of that.

Thank you Gopalpai,Pooja,Fass2008,Mgupta and Rajcanada for your valuable inputs ....The thing is I am going frustrated and mad as i am not even getting Tim hortons job ...
they ask for Canadian exp which i don have .... i don't have any reference etc...
