Dear Massood,
I would be very grateful if you could go through my case below and give your valued view on this.
My husband and I are in Canada since April 2001 on work permit. We have a 3 year old child, who was born in Toronto. Our details are
1) I am the principal applicant.
2) Both of us have permanent jobs in Toronto (Software Developers).
3) Both of us are post graduates from India.
4) We applied for Immigration to Canada from Buffalo. Got the file number on December 31 2003.
5) Did not do the English test
6)Whenever our work permit was updated, I promply mailed the copy of the updated permit to Buffalo office.
7)The Buffalo office requested for medicals and letter from my(Principal Applicant's) current employer in Aug 2004. (They did not request for RCMP fingerprints - I dont know why)
8)Medical report was sent to them by mid sept 2004. We also send the detailed letter from the employer and landing fees by mid september.
And now it is Jan 2006, and I have not heard form the immigration dept after we sent out the requested documents in mid sept 2004. Do you think this is normal? Do you think there is some problem with my case?
Please note that we had carefully submitted all required documents at the time of the application.
Thanks and Regards,
Seema.

Hello Kenny04,
Thanks for your reply. I am sorry I do not know what is CAIPS and how will it help me?
I had sent an email to buffalo. I got an automated response saying that my email has been received and has been forwarded to the concerned department and they will get in touch with me soon. But nothing happened after that.
I think I will send an email again to them, asking for the status.
Thanks again,
Regards,
Seema.
