Hello
I filed my PR at buffalo office in MArch 2008- I received my File number in June 2008 and since then its IN PROCESS..
I check it online via ECAS and its says that " WE STARTED PROCESSING YOUR FILE ON JUNE 17TH 2008"..
I still have NOT recieved my medicals yet. But on the other hand, people applied after me under the same category got theit medicals and some got their immigration as well.
I emailed Buffalo office and this is what they replied
" The actual status of your file is that your application has not changed since our acknowledgement letter. Please understand that our office cannot provide you with an update of case status by email on a regular basis.
We will contact you for the next stage of the processing of your file."
This is taking way too long!! Has anyone gone through the same phase?????

Some factors are based on the case (such as number of countries lived in, educational verification, job history verification, security check, etc.) and some factors are based on CHC, such as who is processing the case.

It's been only 1 year and couple of months for your case.
Applicants in some countries sometimes have to wait 4 - 5 years.
You are lucky that your case is in Buffalo.
