Hello Binal
My nephew has been completed his medical in June 2005 and still no reply from CHC new delhi.I sponsored him because his both parent died in an accident.I don't know when the CHC people will realize hardship of my only son of my late brother.
he has a year to make his first landing, from the date of the medicals. but from what i understood from the ppl here is that if you dont get your pp back before that they will send you papers to get another medical done.
i know it is terrible to wait. and i can understand your anxiety/ but they have so many applications and i think they get overwhellemed by them, i wish they would get more staff.
well we've all faced this wait...cant say about other coutries' immigration rules and set ups but in india it crawls like a snail.....i'd like to drop in a word though...dont worry for your nephew..his pps would return any time, normally it doesn't happen in india for them to ask you to repeat the medical tests. unless there's a major issue of concern in the person's medical tests...this also is normally not the case, as when the medical tests are being taken the doc may outline if that may be the case. These CHC people are juz about a little bit lazy...and we all have to suffer but they do clear all almost before the expiry of medicals.Personally i've just known one such person to repeat his medicals in thousand others who applied to immigrate......!

They have not asked for the passport yet.
we were asked to submit our pps two days after the medical, i think thats how the normal procedure goes, some people do not submit their pps that time and wait for another "pp request" from CHC delhi....
all i can tell you is from my experience...and certain people whom i know about...
Let us wait for someone with good experience in CD to guide u on this...

we were asked for the pp after we had done aour interview and CIC had recieved our medicals back from ottowa. I would assume once they had cleard our papers -they waited to see the medicals and once those were OK they asked for the passports.
