Nowadays it is common to find an article about struggle of NRIs in western countries once every fortnight in leading Indian dailies.
This one seems to have gone too far.....***"It's a life with rats for UK NRI docs"***- an article in timesofindia website on Jan06. Check out http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1362215.cms
It says....*** Six NRI doctors have committed suicide in England out of frustration caused by unemployment***....and goes on...
May or may not be true.
Media needs to sell paper to make money. If they write saying everything is nice and beautiful in London nobody would buy the paper.
Look at your news, if they say it was warm and nice in the city you would switch the channel. They have to cover a break in, ATM robbery or a shoot out in Toronto in detail so that we would view it.
Human being gets an abtuse pleasure in reading/watching about others suffering.
But the other end of the story is that it is atleast warning so many would be immigrants about what is happening in the Land of Honey and Wine.
Good News Media usally stretches the news, but usually does not make up stories in fear of their reputation being tarnished.
But one thing I can confirm is that things are not so rosy in UK and I know many Desi's who want to migrate to CANS!

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
