Has anybody visited this new restaurant? Any comments feedback?

I havenot visited the restaurant. But read about it in the newspaper. As per the article, it is started by a gora MBA. He came from one of the prairie province to toronto for his MBA and liked indian food a lot but hated unhealthy aspect like too much of oil etc. So he started his own takeout place. The address is the same i.e. on Bloor near Yorkville.
We tried Veda a few days back... the food is good if u like indian food minus all the spices and oil..... its all very healthy....but taste wise it lacks the punch. thats how it was for us....maybe others might enjoy it... we did like the spinach rice, butter tofu and loved the masala chai.
would go there again though.... maybe for a light dinner.

I had tried another indian place run by goras few yrs ago. It is somewhere near Dupont. The same story. Indian food but bland no mirchi, no spices. So I avoid those kind of places. For me indian food must be hot, sour, can be bitter all the panch rasas.
Recently I visited Delhi and had a chance to eat at Veda in Connaught Place. The food was good but awfully expensive and portions were small too. The Indian Veda is owned by Rohit Bal (fashion designer). I was just wondering, if this guy has anything to do with Indian Veda.....

Reminds me of those Presidents choice Indian frozen food like butter chicken. Looks like butter chicken, smells like butter chicken but tastes like generic Canadian food. (with all due respect to Canadian food).
