I have started receiving my employer reference letters, and all of them have mentioned my salary in the local currency. would that be ok for CIC or am I supposed to get it converted to Canadian dollar?? Will this pose a problem, since some of them have already been recd by me, and it would look unprofessional to ask for letter again (esp from ex-companies). what say u??
Here reference letter would describe your position and evaluation by your supervisor. They want to know what capacity and how you performed in that position. It should be specific to your area of operation. If the company in Canada decides to hire you then they would like to speak to your supervisor too. Generally it is to judge how adaptable you were at work and does your employer want to hire you again for the excellent performance. IMO it is not required for salary or any perks compansation. So it does not matter what currency you have on your reference letter. Infact it is not required at all on reference letter.
