I am a new immigrant (landed in toronto last July) I want to invite my mother to vist us. The problem is I did not have a job the first 6 months and I have been working from Jan 06 . I have a very good income and a good bank balance. I had filed the incometax form even though i did not have any job. So the incometax returns does not give a very good picture. Will this effect in getting the visitors visa.

ofcourse you can invite your parents. but it is not your situation they will look at. it is your parents. if they can satisfy the officials in India that they are well settled in their home and their vistis just a holiday one then they will get a visa. when my inlaws applied for a visa they took all their property papers . job stuff ( incase they are working) ewvcerthing you can think of that will keep them in India. you have only to send themn an invitation.a letter stating that they will be staying with you. but remember they have to have enough funds to pay for their trip them selves. bank statements also help.

I thought you also require a letler stating the earning here sealed by a notary. No?
