I came here last year as landed immigrant( originally from Pakistan). I want to sponsor my parents, should i just do it on my own or get a lawyer for it? and how important is bank statement. I do have good income but i haven't save any.

First and foremost, you can do all of this for free through the Immigrant Help Centers or contact the settlement.org and find the one closest to where you live. Meet with them first and fill out all of the forms and get a contact phone number from them, so that you can talk and communicate with them over the phone. It will save you time and lots of it. They do it for FREE.

So, first thing on Monday, you find the place and they will help you along the way till they get here into Canada and join you. If you don't know where they are, then let us know where you are in Canada and we will tell you how close they are to you and how to get to them.

Its not your savings , but your gross income which is required for eligibility . And income also , its not net income but gross income .... Some people tend to pay more taxes to increase their chances ... which is not necessary .
