HI TO EVERYONE....
thanks a lot to all who previously have discussed about visitors visa.
I have only one issue and expect to get some professional response on it in addition to all of your personal opinion.
I landed in August 2006 with my wife and 2.5 yrs son and started working from September 2006 as a Sales Manager and have a good package. My wife is not working. My sister who is a Marketing manager in Dubai, very well settled and have good liquid funds have already got visitors visa for U.S.A (visiting my sister in U.S.A) would like to visit Canada too.
My question is "Can I sponsor her" Also, as I am new immigrant, doesnt really have good funds in my bank a/c. Will it really matter if my bank balance is not good and my wife is not working? Does she still needs sponsorship letter or she can just say that she will visit me(brother) for 10-12 days and can take care of her expenses?
please give your opinion
THANKS
Hi,
I'll suggest option 2, let her say to the Visa authorities that she can sponsor herself and she's just a visitor to her brother's house. If she has a valid US visa the Canadian is easy to follow.

Why do I feel that getting a Canadian visit visa may be further easier from the US ? Although from Dubai also I feel it should be fairly easy.

Thanks very much Jona and Fido. It really helps to discuss the things and get the opinion of others.
U will probably need to show about 2000$ per person in ur bank account and ur salary stubs.
The visitors visas are harder for relatives of citizens and permanent residents because they suspect ulterior motive.
My parents had a easier time getting visitors visa to canada before i migrated.
My parents reapplied for visitors visa 3 months back and had to reply to a barrage of questions , they had to provide salary statements of my brother and sister.. who are in the US and india respectively..
I have know rejections for visitors visa.
My advice expect the worst and make sure u comply with all their requirements and hope for the best.
