We just received our citizenship application ack. letter today (8wks including mailing time). I believe Mississauga CIC would be processing our application since we are in Toronto.
The letter indicates that the processing time is 12-15months. Is that a standard phrase or really a true indication? My impression from Canadiandesi website was closer to 6-8months after the receipt of ack. letter.

It seems to be around 10 months from time of you mailing the apps to the time of oath. So, you have already consumed 2 months and 6 to 8 more months of wait is typical just as you have mentioned above.

I received my letter to appear for the written test exactly after 4 months of sending my application ,The process is faster now and if all 's ok with the documents then its much quicker.
No more 15 mnths wait probably very few cases as i hear .......
