There is a Canada part and then there is a local part ( Delhi in your case). Now the Canadian authorities in Delhi will pursue the case/ask additional details if need be; followed by requests for Medical and then Passports for Parent Visa stamping !

Yes; they found you are eligible(qualify) to sponsor your parents.
Generally within 2-3 months, the Canadian local authorities in Delhi would have gotten in touch with your folks; ask for additional details if required. Once satisfied, they will ask your parents to do their Medicals ( 3-4 weeks to get the results).
This is followed by communication to submit their Passports for Visa(e.g. 3 weeks approx was required in Dubai)

Will go smooth; not to worry.

I was wondering how come I did not recv a letter stating I QUALIFY to sponsor but my dad got an email that file is now transferred to ND so I decided to call CIC for the first time in 4 years.And guess what they have my email address as COM instead of CO.IN
and they sent an email to me on December 31st,2013 saying I qualify.I requested to resend to right email address the rep said it is not possible :-( she says take a verbal confirmation that you now qualify.She sent us an email giving us details on how we could update the right email address but kept saying she cannot resend that email from DECEMBER 31ST.I said I waited for that letter 4 years :-( please.She says I understand how you feel but I cannot.Anyways now my dad has to wait for communication from ND I wonder what they are going to ask.

HI all,

sorry to go a bit off topic. but can it create a huge problem if I have mistakenly added suffux in my father's first name in sponsorship application. I have added "bhai" as suffix in the end,but he doesn't have it in passport. I applied for them in June'11 and have already received acknowledgement for it. I m not sure, what to do at this point. Please help!!!
