Hello,
Based on my own experience, the comments posted below are inaccurate. No employer in Canada NEED to have Canadian experience. If that were the case, outsourcing would not have happened. Forget about these negative comments. If you have self-confidence backed up by good implementation experience in India, you can contact me for a guaranteed consideration with no frills attached. One thing for sure, don't fall for guaranteed job placement advertisements. Thanks
Jay

In my case I have NON SAP ERP experience due to which I get calls for SAP implementations in Canada but dont make the cut since there are so many people with SAP experience in Canada itself.Employers in Canada are so picky that they just want experience in the same products only.
Due to this I have decided to move onto BI / Data warehousing field and will make a career move in the US next year.
With so many advise and offer for help I now have a completely different outlook .
I was searching for reliable good institutes in Toronto who can provide free training but so far I didn't came across any . Whereas US has ample institues offering free training accomadation and lunch . I had been unable to verify authencity of such claims ( 100 % job e.t.c. ) so far but once I do I will share it will my fellow desis .
If somebody wants to explore more pls visit sulekha.com for opportunities ..
Together we can acheive and grow ...

The systems and softwares are the same everywhere. Its now you present them. I have had discussion on this forum before on this point and I keep getting amazed at the number of qualified people with IT experience in Canada without a job in theri field.
Give you an example of a person we just started to apply from from India with 3-5 years of experience in 10g and ERP systems. The person since 2004 did not get a job. We just started to apply for him just last week to 1,000 companies and he has 10 interviews. I wish I could share some of the type of replied he gets from the potential employers but its confidential.
All I want to say is keep applying there is one company out there that will appreciate your experience and background.

The most important aspect is to have the necassary years put away getting grounded at the very jobs that need ERP solutions without it do not even go there. I know people who joined the overnight boom in SAP \"teaching gravvy train"\, dishing out Xeroxed courses from their basements and garages charging $2000 per module. Who would you call a sucker here the teaching shop or the student. I will sad for many who wasted 7 months do a \\\"full time"\\\ course for naught.
BTW I like the way you IT guy use \" "\ it makes that word seem so wacko, like a 25 years old directors special. Yes donot get \"sucked"\into these teaching shops without gettin a list or \"%"\ of student placements.
