Sleek,
Your only option is to meet Prof. Wo*g of Kingston college or Royal college and ask them if they will accept mony later in Installments for the Degree / Diploma. Maybe you can give them some surety such as passport etc...
Prof. Wo*g is open to such ideas. He just needs money. Also your co-students at the college can advise you of other options that they followed. Know that even many chinese students are in hand to mouth situations and have devised ideas for extending their stay in Cananda. Hook up with them for ideas.
Or :
Get money from India to pay for the degree and then pay back from the work money. Studying in Canada is a costly affair for many intl. students.

Just an Opinion.

Hey man,

Thanks for the advice.
Yes, I've spoken to him.. and he's the one who is trying to leech me for more money. Close to $3000, which might as well be the money for the degree.

I guess I'm gonna go to Royal and ask for the diploma.

Sleek,
Please do post your experience with Royal college. It will be a help to Desi's caught in this non recogonised college trap.
Prof. Wo*g offered subcon employment to a family member of mine. When we were to sign the contract i looked to see if it ever had a clause for quiting and since there was none, I told my family member to sign it. The job was horrible.Every day the manager was screaming at my family member. So the individual decided to take another job offer in 3 months. When we told prof. Wo*g about it, he first pleaded with us and then threatened us with legal action for breaking the contract. We refused to oblige him. He then also saw the contract and saw that there was no quit penalty clause. He then cooled down and asked us the terms of the new company and that he would get the same terms from this company. The individual refused to accept this also. He then told us to come to his college and talked with the family member for 2 hrs., unable to convince the individual. He then came to me in the parking lot and tried to convince me and i refused to even speak with him. He then let us go.
So In Canada, We need to be very careful. This country for 33 million has grown rapidly by hard work, cheating etc... and you need to be smarter than the people born here to survive.
I wish you all the best in your stay, life, future and career in Canada.

Thank you, my friend.
When talking to Dr. Wong, I realized immediately that he's a money minded dude, who would want money for everything or anything.

So, eff him. And now I'm gonna go to Royal college.

Hye Sleekness ???
I believe you are talking about PG work permit.
Is your employer ready to go through the HRDC approval process ?
AFAIK, Kingston is among those private colleges and students from kingston can't get PG work permit unless it is approved by HRDC.
And if your employer is ready to go through HRDC process I dont think you even need your diploma certificate.
FYI, You have to apply for PG work permit within 3 months of your graduation date.
Good Luck

Hey man,
Thanks for letting me know.
But I didn't have a set graduation date.

Looks like I'll have to see when my graduation date is at Royal College, because then, you said I don't have to get the diploma?

What exactly will be the HRDC approval process, if you don't mind?
