Hello,

I've been here since 2002 Aug under student visa (Kingston college), and have been extending, and got the last approval extension from Royal College.
My visa expires On dec 31st.

Now, I never completely finished the course at Kingston because they wanted $3000 for degree. And I didn't have the money.
And now, I got a nice company where the boss has offered to help me.

But since I didn't finish the thesis, I don't have the degree.
I want to apply for work permit.. and as I know, I need to have the diploma or degree, and the work offer letter for that.

But now Kingston says it's been quite sometime for my thesis.. so I have to re-register (simply money making I tell you!) and it's close to $2800 for that, and ofcourse I don't have money for that either.

Now I'm stuck, and I don't know what to do with 2 months to spare.
Someone, PLEASE PLEASE help.

Thanks.

Wow, thanks for your enlightening post, 'senior'desi.
Anyway, any OTHER positive, and _actually_ helpful people around to post some thoughts, please?

Thanks.

I don't want to be sound rude, but tell me boy what were u doing here from last 4 years. You came here in 2002, and neither u had completed ur diploma from college, nor did job to have a small sum of 3000$ to pay to college to continue ur studies.

and now u want to stay here more, how is it possible?

1) get marry to a immigrant or citizen...

2) pay ur college fees and get study visa extension...

3) sponsorship from any employer on the basis of ur past studies...

otherwise u know my answer from last post.

Duncan,
Be cool yarr!
I know Kingston college's owner. He is a crook. He also does side business by acting as a sub con for IT people. This way, he hires qualified people and makes them work for min. wage and he can fire at will.
This Kingston college was started with a specific purpose of providing student visa's to rich Chinese students who do not know english and who are not able to wait for the processing times. This college does not teach / have any good curriculam and No one can get jobs after studying in this institute. A desi was cheated b'cos he never made research (just as many immigrants are cheated by failure to research - as senior desi's would say !).
The current situation that the Desi is in is not his fault but rather the institution which has made his situation this way. Let us try to help him in any way we can.

I got an idea, sleeki can u transfer ur credits to some other institute a college itself or some university for degree.......
and later pay them some amount just to get a offer letter, and after getting student extension visa, live whatever way u want to.

I did that with Royal College.
But now I've found an employer.. I just need the diploma, either from Kingston, or Royal.

Because a work permit application needs the school dip/deg, and work offer letter.
