American watchdog lists top ten video games for kids to avoid
-----------
Toronto - With Christmas less than a month away, many kids will be asking Santa for video games this year.
And just in time, an American media watchdog group has come out with their top ten list of games to avoid.
The Scarface video game was just one of ten games included in the National Institute on Media and the Family Report Card, which rates violence, aggression and sexual content in video games.
Gangs of London, The Sopranos, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories also made the list...along with Reservoir Dogs, Mortal Kombat: unchained, and Scarface: The World is Yours.
The games are all rated M for mature and are intended for the 17-and-up age group.
But media and family chief Dr. David Walsh says parents are not paying enough attention to what their children play.
The group recommends watching and playing what your kids play to make sure its appropriate.
These are the top ten games to avoid:
Gangs of London
The Sopranos
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
Reservoir Dogs
Mortal Kombat: Unchained
Scarface: The World is Yours
The Godfather: Mob Wars
Saints Row
Dead Rising
Just Cause
