Since most people buying a flat panel TVs aren't looking to pass them onto their grandchildren, the 60,000 hr span is more than enough.

FYI, not all Aquos were made in Japan; a couple of models were made in China. Also, Samsung LCDs are widely viewed as very high quality, so I don't think 'Made in Korea' is that much of a concern.

On a more pragmatic note, I doubt most of us on this forum know how to get the best out of a flat panel by calibrating black,white levels etc. so any decent display does the job.

We just came back and let me inform you that we finalized on SAMSUNG HPS 5053, a 50" PLASMA TV.

Got a deal of $ 2700 + Tax.

I opted for buying a PLASMA rather then going to west Indies to watch (we have got 6 tickets in the group, if any one is interested, let me know) and spend.

Additionally we are very happy to share this day with you all as we did our first biggest purchase since we landed. Overall we bought a RECLINER SOFA with RECLINER LOVE SEAT and a 6 pc Bed room set plus the PLASMA.

CD has played a major role in my journey so far in CANADA and would always be owing to share all the positives and negatives happening.

Congrats on the TV purchase. As an earlier poster said, Samsung TVs have great picture quality. I'm sure you'll have many many hours of happy watching.

Hang on...I think you misunderstood me. God knows I am born to drink a good beer and with your attitude, I think we will get along really well since I too try and find balance quite frequently

But my problem is only with Budweiser which I think is not as good as many other fine brews out there.
