Not sure about Indian bakery but I saw some chinese bakeries in Markham - They sell coconut buns and cream buns similar to those we get back home.

Many Sri Lankans have the business. One on Ellesmere rd called B&A Bakery. One at Pasmore ave between middlefield rd and Markham Rd.

There is Shrin Mahal Bakery which has opened recently.

5651 Steeles Avenue East ( East of McCowan on Steeles)

There is another branch on Dixie/Eglinton, in the plaza next to Shahi Nan Kabab.

Bakeries:

One that comes to my mind is: "Ceylonta". Their food is non veg. and it is great. They bake their own cakes. Call them and ask if they also bake bread and/or for any other links to the type of bakeries you are looking for.

Ceylonta Restaurant
403 Somerset St W
Ottawa, ON K2P0K1
(613) 237-7812

Freddie.
