Hi to all


Any one can help me in preparing my Canadian CV...
any specific format or style...

For your info i am in the CAD/GIS mapping field as CAD/GIS Technologist

your suggessions help me a lot...:p

First tip:
In Canada, it is not 'CV' but it is 'Resume';)

You call that piece of paper Resume but don't write "Resume" on top of paper.

Hi there,

I agree with Sanjeev that you should stop calling it CV because to most Canadians it means absolutely nothing.

One of our members, Chris, has been kind enough to post his resume for others benefit. You can view it here

Also, you may get information by searching the forum for posts with subject "resume" (use the SEARCH IN CHARCHA feature). A bit of research on the site and on career sites like Monster will give you a really good idea of what it requires. You may want to browse the Success Stories for tips too.

Its a myth that there's one standard prescribed Canadian format for a resume which will guarantee success. No such thing that I know of. Making a good resume is a continual process of refinement and you'll just know when you have one that works for you.

thanks for your valuble sugesstions, i would love to see the modarator can create a new section with resume bank or candian resume tips of kind. so that it will give a better idea for new members to get an idea bout Canadian resume. Also other members can give there valuble suggestions in that section.

i hope this will help like minded new members on CD...
