I bought packets of "dabeli masala" during my last visit to Bhuj, but still it is not same as eating at "Binharif" or "Dilkhush" near bus station.
The instructions on this masala does not mention putting peanuts or hot/sweet chutneys in dabeli, although the masala itself is quite hot, making hot chutney unnecessary.
Two things that I will aways miss in Canada
- Freshly prepared ganthia (Fafda as called in rest of Gujarat) with fried chillies and papaya pickle
. Even a million Tim Hortons working together cannot beat this morning snack- Kutchi style samosa - the filling is made from besan and onions. I do not think you can get this stuff even in Bhuj these days. Even people in Bhuj have switched over to samosas with potatoes

I really miss Dabeli & fafda. Nothing in Canada can be as satisfying as these items.
One more type of samosa's are also available in Gujarat. I forgot the name of those samosas, but it is quite small in size & is very delicious farsan to be have with dinner. I have had them in many marriages in Gujarat. The name starts with "P" or something.....

Something is better than nothing..we satisfy ourselves with Fafda from Swaminarayan temple - thier kadhi/chutney is good. Someone brought me a pack of Fafda from Surti Farshan, those were good too - cannot compare with what I ate in Ahmedabad though.
The samosa from Ahmedabad which you mention is made from 'Lilva' - you get Lilva kachori and samosa...
