Indian Grocery in scarborough

Hi All,

Please can anyone let me know if there is a decent Indian Grocery store
in the Scarborough Region .
We just moved in at Warden and Sheppard.
I know that there are many but i donot know where , which intersection.

It would be great if someone could even tell me where there are good eating joints (indian cusuines or snacks) .

Hi Roxy,

Welcome to scarborough...(though I moved to North york few months ago). You will find tons of desi stores on Lawrence avenue between Midland and Markham. Infact at the intersection of Markham and lawrence you have Patels Cash and carry, Indiatown and Bombay Bazaar within stone's throw. Little north on Markham road you have Mirch Masala.

There are branches of Bombay Bazaar on Lawrence and Brimley and another one on kennedy/14th Avenue (Markham).

Try Alibhai at the peanut plaza..but he has fresh groceries only on wednesdays and in limited quantity. If you like his quality and price, he will reserve for you..I dont know the details how to...u need to talk to him directly.
