Hello..
Has anybody here been thr' childcare subsidy interview??
Our interview is scheduled on 11th sep. in Toronto.
I have the list of documents ready with me for the interview.
I would like to know anybody's experience regarding this..
Thank you

I have been thru the interview, few years back. It was simple process and very straight forward interview. The lady on the other side of the table asked us for all the paper work, she checked all documents if they were OK or not, bank statements for any bank balances.....this is one of the most important things....how and how much is the money coming to your account.....when we applied that time the max limit in bank account was $5000.
They basically want to assess whether you really need/deserve the subsidy or not and based on the facts we presented, they right away told us their decision and the amount of subsidy we got.
One thing I would strongly recommend you that you check with the local Govt. approved (who qualify for subsidy) day care centres for any vacancies and if possible, take a letter from them or atleast one of them, even though you may not like that centre but it helps at the time of interview. You may change the centre later on without any problems....no compulsions. You can get a list of those centres from the following link:

All the very best and please don't forget to share your experience after the interview. It will help others.

Hi Sanjeev,
Thank you for the reply.
We have received a letter from "Toronto Childcare Services" and they have specified a list of documents to present as follows
http://www.toronto.ca/children/pdf/subsidy_chklst.pdf
I will check with the daycare if they will provide me letter for registration.
I think nowadays they determine your income thr' notice of assessment and not thr' bank statement..
Should I still carry bank statement with me?
I am doing a co-op course and I have got registration letter from them.
I am just hoping to get thr' this as I need it and it will help me a lot..
I will keep everybody posted after the interview..
