Dear Friends,
I am from Sharjah,- After little more than 2 years its now time which was long waited for
As per the request from CHC London office, on 15th Oct 2007 I have sent them the passports of me and my wife for visa stamping along with other documents and a self addressed envelop as per their specification . It was mentioned in the latter that I would be contacted by AbuDhabi Canadian embassy when they receive the PP's from London after visa stamping.
1) I would like to know is, will they ask me to collect the PP's from AbuDhabi Embassy when they receieve or will they courier it to the address which is mentioned on the self addressed envelop send by me?
2) If I have to collect myself do my wife also need to come with me? (I am the principal applicant)Is her presense mandatory to get her passport?
3) If they courier, will I have to pay for that or it will be paid by Canadian Embassy - Abu Dhabi.
If anyone on this forum knows about this, please share.

Dear Freddie,
As per the letter I have received, it is clearly mentioned that all passports to be sent in a single envelop and the envelop should be strong enough to transport all your passports(s) (Principal applicant and all other accompanying dependents PPs)
Minimum Size: 21cm X 30 cm.
And similar type of envelop (self addressed) to be sent along with this so that they can return the same back. Also they have mentioned that all PP of Gulf region are sent directly from CHC London to designated Canadian Embassies of the region. So in my case its Abu Dhabi.
They have not mentioned about any prepaid courier envelops and any charge accounts either. So I am little amused in that part as you have mentioned.
Thanks a lot for spending time and responding, appreciate that Freddie

Dear Mapledream
I am a new member to this forum. I am a PR cardholder who returned to Saudi Arabia after landing. First you send your Passport to London. From London Canadian High Commission Passport will send to Abhudhabi CIC after visa stamping. Abhudhabhi CIC will send your Passport to your Address thru local courirer like Aramex or DHL. after sending ur passport to your address the abhudhabhi CIC will call you and give u the details about Shipping number. Next day you will go to the Courier Company and collect your passport after paying the courier charges from Abhudhabi to your Place. No need to Pay pre-paid courier Charges
Dear Spj,
Thanks a lot for your reply and clear cut steps how this process works, I am relaxed now, as you have already gone through it, you have very clearly and in short steps explained the whole thing, excellent , appreciate very much. Now waiting to get call from AbuDhabi C.Embsy;
Thanks a lot
