Hi guys,
Can anyone please tell me how to send passports to the Canadian Embassy in London UK for Visa stamping. Which courier company accepts passport to courier.
Also as a requirement one is suppose to send a self addressed envelope to the embassy so that they can return the passports back to you. Do they send it by normal post or do they send it by some courier agency like Fedex, DHL....How safe is it to send and get the passports back by courier.
Hope to receive some suggestion.
Thanks.
Are you from middle east ??? if you have applied through your agent then you dont have worry just give your passport to them they will do everything.

Hi,
I am in a similar position to the poster below. Appreciate it if the original poster could reply by saying how he/she sent the passports. Anyone else done the same thing?

Most of the Courier Companies permit your opening of an account. They will ask you for a link with a Credit Card for charging, if you use or avail their services.
This account with 'a number' permits you to send a courier letter either when you 'send' one, through a 'drop box' or for a 'pick up'. So, protect and guard this number.
When you are sending your Passport for a visa, YOU send it through this Courier to the Embassies or the High Commissions in the Courier's envelope, provided by them.
If you want the same to be returned back and you prefer it through the same courier, then, you provide another envelope of theirs with a 'waybill', with a return address on it.
In that way bill there is a line where you can ask them to charge the return costs to you. In that line it asks you for your account number. You write the same with your address and put in your Passport, any and all of the documents, fees etc., that you want to send to the Embassy or the High commission togther with another envelope from the Courier and the way bill for the return.
{It is a commitment in which you promise that you will pay to the courier through this account, and with the credit card number that you have provided to them for the charges.}
It has become a standard procedure.
Some Embassies and High Commissions want ONE Courier Envelope for EACH Passport. That way they know that each of the holders of the Passport will sign and receive them back and there is no mix up. There, in their office, they will have a record showing that it was done in an orderly fashion.
In this current day practice with the internet and web pages, there is no one to talk to and it becomes a lot difficult to access any of these Embassies and the High Commissions. There is no telephone service any more and some even charge you by the minute, if such service is available. It has become 'USER PAY" service.
Gone are the GOOD OLD DAYS. Welcome to the TWENTYFIRST.
Freddie.
Hi Sunlife, I am from Sharjah,UAE, I recently did this process. As per the instruction in the letter from CHC for PP submission, I bought two envelopes according to the size specified; one was used for making self address as requested (Home address with contact numbers) and the other for sending, by pasting the CHC London address which was provided in a sticker form. Along with PPs of all applicants, enclosed the self addressed envelop too. Went to DHL office and submitted to courier . The courier collection executive asked me to show the contents inside so I had to unpack it, he verified and resealed it. It was delivered within 24 hrs. After 21 days got call from Aramex and they verified my address which was mentioned on the self-addressed envelope and they delivered to my home. Got PPs of all applicants with VISA stamped, COPR letter, and letter stating landing instructions and other details.
Note:
1)I used envelope with bubble plastic inside, so that it can carry the weight of PPs and to a large extent remains waterproof.
2)I paid for only sending the courier to London, at DHL office and when PPs were delivered back to me (through Aramex) they collected the UAE local delivery charges ie From Abudhabi Canadian Embassy to my home address (as on selfaddressed envelope) in Sharjah.
