I recently joined Federal govt department as operational clerk (passed written test skills test and interview)but my manager donot like me because I am from visible minority and from day one he has one point agenda to terminate my serivces. He is issuing me warning and reprimand letters showing my negligence towards my work within 2 weeks of my joining. They did not provide me any comprehensive trg. but he is expecting 100 files in 7.5 hours and there is no one else doing the same numbers in one day even they are working since 2-3 years., but he turns blind eye when I said \" is it not too early to judge anyone in 2 weeks, he said no. they never think me a part of office. My working is significantly in 4 weeks but still he is not happy. I was so depressed and stressed my BP goes to 166/103.
Can any CD can help me. Should I resign my self before he terminate me to avoid any future problem in applying other deptt.s. I am so scary could not sleep well.
please help.
thanks
Contact the union rep. from your unit. They may be able to help you.

If you are a Federal Govt. employee (on their payroll) - permanent or contract, you should be part of a Union and covered under a Collective Agreement. Issues like these can be brought to the attention of your Union Rep./ steward. The appropriate course of action, if your concerns are legitimate, is best advised by this person. The warning/ reprimand letters that you have been receiving may have to be studied by these folks to see if there were grounds to issue these.
Note : If you are a contract staff on a job with a Federal Govt., you case is best brought to the attention of the agency.
I would suggest you also share your concerns in an informal way with someone in your workplace who you are comfortable with and has been there for a considerable time and can advise your rationally - assuming that there is such a person. There may be team dynamics that you may not be aware of and may have nothing to do with your performance on the job. Given the limited information, I do not want to speculate.
Try not to stress yourself by bringing the termination/ resignation scenarios into the picture. There may be ways to mitigate the issue. During the initial time in a new job, as most of us can vouch sometime or the other in our career, new colleagues/workplaces in general can sometimes give a sense of alienating you. Í'm not discounting your situation in any way. You may have a genuine case here - I'm just trying to highlight the fact that a lot of these issues get themselves sorted with time or with the right intervention.
You've put in a lot of effort to get to where you are in your career. I'm sure you can make this work.
Good luck.
Thanks so much sudesingh ji and Jai_bhart for your help.
Employee less than 1 years term is not covered by unions. I think I have to write to Director.
Let us hope for the best...........
Thanks

I am new here but have heard a lot of similar experiences as yours. Just stay firm and try to solve this issue without any heated arg . Yahan pe log bahut mithi maar maarte hain.
If i may suggest ... try to talk to ur boss and find out what exactly is his prob with u and if u dont get ur answer go to next level.
Thanks so much . I will fight back
Start documentation or show evidence on your work. Save all the correspondence with manager ( no verbal counts) emails etc, once there is a story involve HR.
If it is because of visible minority issue which u can prove then your mgr is in trouble. Human Rights can also be contacted ( iam sure he will start shaking his head when Human rights commission is involved)
