Gopalpai: without getting into a slanging match with you, let me reply to your question:

How many people have I helped: I can certainly count 5 who got hired. Just for your information, these got hired because I posted here on the forum that either my current or past employers were hiring. To elaborate further, two of them are now team leads, having excelled in their jobs. Since you seem to challenge my helpfulness, I must also tell you this:

1) I vetted their resumes, and re-drafted them as I knew what the hiring managers were looking for, in terms of skills, and experience.

2) I also coached them about what to expect in the first telephonic interview, especially in the field of situational questions.

I must admit that others did NOT make it. No matter how you re-write, present one`s resume, or coach them and it`s all about presentation, be it a telephonic or face-to-face interview. It`s all about what one has - skills, practice & experience.

I hope that answers your question.

People:

You can provide help to the CD community by posting information that you have, sources that you obtained them from and then reasons for your postings.

Its human nature to become opinionated, i too am opinionated and I know it. Other members dont always agree with me and thats OK. I learn from everyone who responds to me, and even if my ego initially gets hurt, I realize everyone speaks their truth.

However having said that - if anyone continously insinuates that they are the only ones who help others here, they are risking alienation by others. Please respect this forum and each member that contributes. Many have been here a long time and have experience to share. Please listen to others and seek the truth in their words.

Please avoid a "holier than thou" attitude.
All it leads to is threads degrading into these sqabbles.

Now it reminds me of that commercial of RIN (?)

"Bhala uski saadi meri saadi se safed kaisi ???"

PS: Gopalpai - don't treat this as a negative reply ... this is just a joke (I know you like good humor)

I have really enjoyed reading especially the middle section which explains why interviewers ask certain questions. Always good to delve into their psyche.

Although there are points in there which make me cringe such as employers looking for 'unselfish, over-working' people, when some employers themselves can be extremely selfish and sit 10 feet away from any work. :(
