Does anybody have the idea about the duties levied on Paper export on used magazines, newspapers etc by ship to India for selling.
I know there is a big Frieght charges but has anybody practically calculated as to how much % age or amt. is the total Frieght to Weight calculation.
plz. comment..
I had looked into it a while back but later on dropped the idea as shipping cost from TO is way higher than NY. Its a very lucarative business but there are some substantial problems as well.
I dont remember the exact freight cost etc but once computed into the overall cost, the final price was not that attractive to the consumers in India.

I never knew that there is duty levied on exports from here to India or anywhere else for that matter!!! I always thought duties are levied on imports.

There are free seminars on business development which includes how to import or export goods and metodology involved in that. The registration to this site is free and seminars are also free.
Though some private companies charge for their specialized seminars. I attended a free seminar on EXIM, say 2 months back.
