The tickets are so damn expensive! The cheapest ticket ($97.95 + $15 in Ticketmaster fees) is in section 215 in the right most corner. I can't believe that all the good seats are already gone. Have the promoters bought the good seats for all their friends

Does anyone know if we can avoid paying the fees by buying directly from Rogers Centre? Are the tickets available in any desi stores?

Yes the Tour tix are crazy. You didn't miss out on any good seats. Those seats you mentioned are in the rafters.

The prices range from $97 dollars through $400 dollars. Go to craigslist or kijjiji and you will see tons of people trying to unload their tix.

Here is some background:

Contrary to reports flying around, Madhuri is NOT performing in Toronto. If you want to see her, then you have to fly to vancouver or to any of the state side shows. She's part of that crew.

I wouldn't trust the roster that is being announced. My high standing sources tell me that contracts are still being negotiated ie: pay for the cast and crew.

as for tix:

I must tell you that the buzz is that the Ethnic Guru who are the promoters has kept the best tix (meaning tix that go for $400 a piece) for themselves and their friends and telling everyone that they are "going fast"..typical marketing ploy and trying to show their "sponsors" that the feedback is worth their hard earned sponsorship dollars.

there are alot of tix available just go to ticketmaster.ca. They are the only place where tix are available. You can however skip the ticketmaster fees by going directly to rogers centre to get tix. Crazy expensive prices indeed which explains why tix are still available. Not sure how a family is supposed to afford to go to this event as typically these bollywood stage shows are geared to a family audience.

I'll be skipping this show. Because I'd rather spend the money to see a real band. Love Abhishek but at the price of these tix, I can buy a pair of gorgeous shoes where I can wear forever and is not a fleeting memory as this show will be.

I'm really excited about this tour and don't you think it will be so fun? The songs they are going to play are going to be fabulous??

First of all, you can buy tickets at Rogers Centre and I don't think you have to pay the ticketmaster fee. Plus, why not call the number listed on their website (and other retail locations and ask how you don't have to pay this ticketmaster fee..etc..I'm sure the organizers would be happy to let you know if there is a way.)

The prices range from 97 to $287. 75 There are no $400 seats!!! Where did Junior Holly get this idea? Did he talk to the promoters or was it written somewhere?? I haven't seen this anywhere !!! There are only about 18, 000 seats available which means the stage is going to be a lot closer than you think!!! Do you guys know how big the Rogers Centre is?? Plus, like every other Concert their will be Video Screens.......!! Section 215 are still fairly good seats because the stage is going to be closer than you think.

Two, our junior holly and RBO the same person? What are they talking about? When you go for Concerts of your favorite bands or singers, people pay the price to see their favorite stars!!!! A fleeting memory??? I still remember when I when to the Shahrukh show and how much fun I had! It was worth it to me to pay the $100 to see them. These are not like North American productions.....think about where they are coming from....far away, the elaborate dances (which even American stars don't do long enough!) and choregraphed routines, costumes, etc. Don't you think its worth it to see that? Its not like you are going to get to see Amitabh Bachchan again like this. This is probably the last tour that he is physically able to do. And Aishwaraya Rai with the Bachchans is going to so thrilling....I love all the music they have done together so far. Akshay and Preity are really good too...I've seen Preity before and though I'm not a big fan of hers...I would still go for everyone else. I still know its going to be stellar performance.

I do feel yes, maybe the prices have alienated working class families who love indian movies and would like to go and maybe in the future that would be taken to
consideration. Again, the closer seating and stage should make up for that. Everyone will be able to see them I'm sure....Live performances are far more fun than you think. A pair of shoes won't last you as long as a fond memory of your favorite star in a live performance!!! I never get sick of going to see my favorite stars. and its really Amitabh....he is going to steal the show here......

Those of you that are coming make sure you review the show on here..so we can let Junior Holly and RBO how it really was while they are prancing away in their new shoes at some nightclub/bar with strangers that have no idea what Bollywood is or what your culture is about!!! I love going to these shows because this is what reminds me of being Desi! ( the fun part of our heritage)

Yes, the ticket is higher than what you have paid over the last 10 t 15 years for a live show, but you get what you pay for. I encourage you to buy a ticket for the show ad check it out and then write to us, tell us what you thought. I can guarantee that the Unforgettable Team will deliver the biggest and most incredible Bollywood experience you have ever witnessed.
