How would u take it??
This happened to a friend' s friend a few yrs ago.
A person used to religiously buy lottery tickets by using the birth dates of his kids as his lucky lottery number .... .
He used to do this twice a week.....he and his wife used to have a lot of arguments over it....she thought he was wasting money, but he stuck by it. He used to tell her that he was sure they would win one day....he used to buy the same no#s every single week......this went on for 11yrs!!!
One day he fell sick and could not go to work ....he was home for a week in bed...he asked his wife to buy the ticket for him that week with the same no#s that he had been buying for the last 11yrs.
The next day he checked the lottery numbers......and his lucky number had won 18 million dollars!!
"His wife had not bought the ticket."
After this incident, the person stopped buying lottery tickets..but the couple is together and happily going with life.
His philosophy.......?
"I lost the lottery, why should i lose my wife?"
If this has happened to you.....How would u take it??

Hey a very practical angle:
It is excellent if wife does not work. SHe can claim the income from future investments as her own and will be taxed at lower rate.
If they decide to split up. he gets half of it anyways. And so long they are together, they save on taxes.

Thankyou TK for clarifying that.... i wanted CD members' views on how they would react if such a thing happened to them.

Wonder how many men would be as forgiving as the person mentioned in the main post??
I think he has to go on with his life....what else can he do?Wonder if has has any misgivings..... ?
