here's the deal.

E.G. needs to sell 11, 000 more tix to break even.

They haven't done so yet.

The VIP party is to show Bachchan/Wizcraft that they have their act together.

media conference is a last minute addition to the schedule in the hopes of bringing in more media and thus more ticket buyers.

Simple question. Why didn't they just re-hire the same Marketing team that handled their press conference? I don't know them, but I remember seeing crazy wall to wall coverage (every mainstream/desi tv newspaper , online I came across..when they came down to the royal york last summer.

That marketing company probably sensed that this is going down hill fast and decided not to work with again.

all of this could have been avoided if they just priced their tix on par with the rest of the shows across the US and the States/London.

Its as simple as that. And yes again, I'm expressing my own opinion, if you want to go, go and enjoy yourself, for me, I just can't justify spending the money and I list reasons why.

But I would TOTALLY watch the dance routine you all are doing....and would gladly fork over hundreds of dollars..no problem!

I agree with you BollyHolly completely. The prices are very ridicolous. My gf had wanted to go but after seeing the prices she opted not to. A night out for an average income family of 4 could end up between $500 to $600. And they won't be nowhere near the stage and might have to watch it on a Jumbotron or something.

Here is the cost breakdown for the cheapest tickets: family of 4 X $100 per ticket = $400 + service charges + food + overpriced parking on that day = $500 or even more. Add to that the gas prices for familes travelling from as far as Sauga, Hamilton and Brampton etc..

This is basically an insult to an average bollywood fan whose combined household income is probably $100,000 or less, which represents majority of Bollywood's fanbase. This might be a shock to the promoters because they are probably already rich and probably never did night shifts in factories humming favorite bollywood songs.

it appears the promoters basically want to weed out "fobs" aka "hardcore fans" to show off to their non-indian guests who will probably be at the event. Or try to get more non-indians to attend. But, at work I've been asked by non-indians "Do they sing?" "Do they act out scenes"? "Do you get to meet them for that price?" To which I sadly reply NO. They simply laugh and say "these are some up prices then". They haven't even paid this much to watch their favorite band.

I would have loved to go and support the acts but sadly I cannot afford it. I cannot justify this expense just to watch something that requires little effort on the performers part. Sure they dance, but thats' about it with huge intervals inbetween.

I would love to hear the outcome of the show and know was it worth the $100 or more in most cases for each ticket?

Nav Bhatia should have been involved with this.

I would have gone to the show if the ticket was at 45-55$+ whatever.

Instead we are going to the Z103.5 show in Wonderland. We got season pass for it already and the ticket for the show was like 24$ incl taxes.

Enjoy the rides, some good music lots of fun without emptying your bank account..

It will be a real insult for Big B when he comes on the stage and he will see only few people watching his show. and where is the rest.................out of town or may be start saving some money for his next show. If it is a charity show ya i will participate but not to feed those greedy sponsor. Any idea how many tickets has been sold till now?
