Hello All
My daughter is going to be a year old soon! We want to do something and expect a guest list of 30-40. I need suggestions on how can we have a good party. We do not have enough space in our house to accomodate 30-40 people.

Please give your inputs about different places where such parties can be arranged at reasonable cost( have no idea how much to set aside for such event so help me on that too!). Also ideas about how to make it a success.

Its going to be in Etobicoke area.

Have you tried asking around in your neighbouring community centre. Most would have rooms available for rent for a couple of hours. Rates differ so best you call and find out.

Chucky Cheese is an option, not cheap though but convenient. Place to play and enjoy and pizza and cake.

Considering your kid is just one, so i doubt it will be a party where she is going to be inviting her guests. So it is basically your own friends with kids. In this case a local Indian Restaurant could be booked for an afternoon. Basically you book the whole or part of the restaurant and you have you lunch served there. Nice time to get people together. On top of that you are free to mix around with your friends rather the run around getting things organised. If i remember correctly a friend of mine had a similar party in one of the Indian restaurants and it was a party of aboout 25-30 people .... think he spent about 400-450 ..... hope this helps.
Something like the party hall here http://www.anjapparcanada.com/

Thanks Ashu puttoo
ChuckEcheese is a good idea but i guess it will more suitable when kids are 3+ and have their own friends coming in minus adults.
I will try with some restaurants around here to see if they can also spare some space for some activities too .Thanks for the link puttoo ..yes this is what i want and if they can allow us to bring in our food it'll be awesome coz it has to be vegetarian..will check with them.
