Hi,

I m planning house-warming party in Oct.There will be hawan follwed by lunch.
I want to make it a memorable occasion and to do something different than just guests just attending hawan,eating and going back.
There would be about 25-30 people.

Any ideas???

I donot know what is Hawan but I am assuming that it is some sort of Puja.

There are things that can be done as follows;

1. Organise Magic Show for the kids ( $150 with free balloons)
2. May be some games for the visitors like talent competition, tug of war between families, quiz etc...
3. BBQ at the rear yard with Liquor for the gents and wine for the ladies.
4. Instead of Gifts, you can request your guests to make a donation to their favourite charitable org, or sicks kids, Help conquir Cancer etc...
5. raffle draw
6. Gifts for the kids to be cumpulsory (sort of the loot bag thing)
7. get a professional to record the event and send it out in Dvd to those who came.
8. You can invite your local MP/ MPP and take photographs of him with each of your guests and this will be a status symbol for their families in India
