It is a medically known fact that Tuberculosis can be cured. Also there are a lot of people who are currently cured and are leading a normal life.
You might be cured of that dreaded disease and may also be leading a normal, active life. But you are the only one who can determine beside the Medical faculty, how early it was diagnosed and how fast it was cured after the discovery. Also how well you responded to the treatment after the start of the treatment. How many years have past since the cure and how 'active' a life you are currently leading are a few of the factors that you have means of analyzing with, at your end, and also what the Canadian Medical Authorities decide in your case for your Student Visa is entirely up to you all. You can answer to yourself if you are under remission or if you are totally cured.
In either case, they will not hold it against you for your study visa. But they may impose a few conditions for monitoring your health periodically and also a medical coverage and return, if they decide about the visa, in your favour. These are the extremes and they have the authority to decide either way.
I for one will not hold it against you.
So, good luck in your Student Visa.
Hope it works well for you and in your favour.
Freddie.
