Old people(+60) or Disabled people (Less than 60 Years) are eligible to get pension from federal Government...Provincial government also provide income support to financially broken or people with physical or mental impairements.

CPP income is taken into account when calculating amount of OAS, but I don't think you need to have CPP contributions in order to be eligible for OAS.

How they calculate eligibility period after 10 years of residency for parents.
Parents keep travelling back and forth to India in these last 10 years. Will this absence included or excluded from the calculation of 10 years?
