All the information about OAP is available on this link.

... However, there are some exceptions to this rule...
Old people(+60) or Disabled people (Less than 60 Years) are eligible to get pension from federal Government...Provincial government also provide income support to financially broken or people with physical or mental impairements.

Right, but I am questioning the statement that you need to contribute to CPP to get OAS.
CPP income is taken into account when calculating amount of OAS, but I don't think you need to have CPP contributions in order to be eligible for OAS.

How they calculate eligibility period after 10 years of residency for parents.

Parents keep travelling back and forth to India in these last 10 years. Will this absence included or excluded from the calculation of 10 years?

Replies will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

I am sure you have a lot of Questions to ask. It is difficult to answer one at a time, so I want you to read this booklet and get to know well and then write down all of the questions and ask them. I will provide you with the right answer to all of them.

The main idea is to get to file an application and start to receive the Benefit first.
