I am writing this on behalf of my wife:

We are having a big Diwali party two weeks later and expect about 100 guests coming in at different times (it is an open house concept).

We need some help in the morning in the kitchen/house to prepare some things and set the table. Half the food will be bought out with minimal cooking at home in the morning.

From 2 to 9, we need someone to look after replenshing the food on table from time to time and then wash dishes (in dishwasher) may be once or twice (since we use China for some things). However, most important thing is to heat up the food or mix things (like Bhel puri) whenever needed and refill the dishes while we are busy meeting the guests.

For this we need some help - preferably an Indian girl/lady who understands Indian food - but anyone who can do the job will suit us.

Does anyone of you know of or have used the services of such a person willing to help on payment basis (say about $10 per hour)?

If yes, please let me know asap.

Thanks

One of our friends call their house maid/cleaning lady for such assignments. They charge $12.00/hr for any job and are generally courteous and helpful. You might want to try that - if you do have a contract with a cleaning lady.

Will let you know if I can locate someone for you - I also know of a person who executes catering/serving orders - can you please advice the location? PM/email me if you wish.

Happy Diwali in advance..

Thanks for responding........but I think you did not read my post fully. Warming the food is a very small part of the whole work.
