Hindi movies downloading/uploading in Canada

I read somewhere that downloading music is legal in Canada as long as you don't share. But I donno about Indian (Hindi) movies. My friend was asking me that. And also is there any one to check whether you download/upload the movies/songs like some law enforcer agencies
I movies from stores but sometimes if the movies is nice and if I want to see any time - so i wanted to get it on PC. I don't have dvd drive at my home. I know its easy to buy movie then download

No one checks for Piracy regarding Hindi movies. who is going to check? On top of that ALL indian stores pirate Hindi movies. 75% of the Hindi movies you buy on DVD are fake pirated copies.

Hindi movies are pirated everywhere .. hence they release the DVD just a few weeks after it releases on Theatre .. otherwise all that happens is they lose out.

I wouldn't blink an eye on downloading Hindi stuff.
