Good day
Can someone help me with some software where i could keep track of my expenses, like you can feed your income and expenses under various categories like say grocery ,eat out, gas, hydro ,prop taxes etc etc on a daily basis and gives you a report kind of thing at the end of the month .
Thanks in advance.
I understand you can make use of excel sheet ,but I'm not that tech literate.

'Some goals are so worthy, it's glorious even to fail.' (Param Vir Chakra awardee Lt. Manoj Pandey)
Excellent Question.
I was also thinking about and the stuff I wanted to do was to somehow link my Chequeing Account statements, Visa Card bills in a such way that I just need to link them on and take a single statement out, in place of manually entering them into a XL sheet.
I had spoken to my banker RBC, where I had suggested that I could key in an extra digit while entering my PIN into my debit or Credit Card and hence I could sort them into a particular section based on a set of numbers for eg: 1 for Food; 2 for Gas; 3 for Hydro and utilities; 4 for miscellaneous or others and in this way I could extract a set of information out of my chequeing account statement and look at each set of expense. Then I could look at a pie chart of all my expenses in proportion to the total expenses and also see the comparison between my set limit for each expense versus the actual. There could also be warning message when we are hitting a control figure or a set budgeted expense for the month and we are very near to crossing it.
I'm Technically Challenged or Handicapped and any Suggestions welcome.
If there is someone from a Bank on this website they could suggest it to their customer service people to help their customers. Currently there is a financial page in RBC which is more towards calculating once mortgage eligibility than helping people budget and track expense.
May be all the banks can create a common site outside and provide links vide e-mail so that when an transaction is recorded then it will trigger an email to update that website. This way there will be an one way flow of information and hence will not compromise the security of the website or someone could tinker with the information.
Suggestions Welcome!.

You can try which ever version you can get. MS Money 2006 was the latest Canadian edition. Usually distributed free with branded computers/laptops.
