Following papers are generally required for incoem tax returns

T 4 - Employment Income
T 5 - Investment Income
RRSP contribution papes
Information about SIN, DOB for self and spouse
Details about children
Medical expeneses
Education Expenses
Business Income - financial statements
Rental Income
Rent REceipt for claiming GST Credit & Provincial credits
Donations receitps if any

Start collecting your papers. This is the month to receive necessary documents from the companies, agencies, and employuers. Call me for your free income tax return if you are new immigrants

And to this list add a couple of more things if apply in your case.

1. Last year's NOA ( to get details of RRSP contribution room & carry over)
2. Proprty tax paid on your house (if you own a house)

I just provided high level overview of the documents required. The required documents depends upon the sources of income of taxpayer and details of assets and expenses of such person during the taxation year (year just ended)
