I was actually looking for some unconventional answers (like what my father did when he came to visit USA. He pawned all the jewels in the bank and then paid back 99% of the money the next day. After he returned from the USA after 3 months, he went and paid the 1 % remaining money and the interest for that 1 % money and got all the jewels back and this the jewels were taken good care of)

Pardon my ignorance, but why someone choose this unconventional method over conventional bank lockers?

Hi! TK,

Congrats for the job.

In all building parking, there are some spots not sold due to less space to turn, near the entry gate, some spots not sold to make area for the garbage truck movement, get duplicate parking entry keys and voila its free just no sticker on windsheild.

Cops never come in basement parking to issue tickets.

The gold in the bank is so funny, I know so much of you now, your father is a Vet, your had car issue a while back, what about the overweight thing, did it work.

$70 for parking.....expensive building, are there to many whites in the building?

Cops won't come but building owners/super will get it towed if they come to know of it.

Actually, the parking enforcement comes to the basement too - I have received a ticket in my own parking spot since the sticker was not visible due to dust on the Windshield. He issued it at 3.00 am in the morning. Of course, the ticket was eventually dropped when we furnished the proof.

That actually is a joke about a Jewish business man visit NY. When he wanted to fly to another city, he found the parking for his Mercedes (insert any expensive car name here) too expensive and also was wary about the thefts in public parking. So instead he offered it as collateral towards $500.00 loan from the bank and took it back on return. The total cost to him was interest on $500.00 for 1 week.

Here is another version

I live near the square one area of Mississauga and is there any way in which I can park the car for a small fee?
I currently park in a street (for free) but then I use the car for work M-Sat. and hence the street parking enforcer cannot see the car during the day to possibly ticket it.
Your ideas would be much appreciated.
Peace by TK

Hello TK,
I cannot give you free ideas, but in my complex its $45 which is located near dixie/bloor. the underground parking is left with many vacant spaces due to summer. You even can try your luck to bribe the super to get the parking for $20 as i came to know from some one.
Good luck.

Btw, Have you find any good auto insurence as these suckers(state farm) are keep raising the premium for nothing. I was been with state farm or last 10yrs with no accident, no claims, still they keep on increasing.
I tried other links on CD, but all these are expensive than state farm, hence i stopped searching..
Please share your info if you come across any agency who is offering below $150(Honda accord 2002)
thanks

state farm is about the most expensive when it comes to rates.
State farm and all state.
state farm is good for new customers i.e. when you are switching insurance.
but once you have been a customer for a few years they don't care to keep you anymore and try to milk you.
try TD insurance, Bel Air, CAA, ING, DGI.
I'd suggest use a broker to compare rates.

Thanks DesiBabu,
I thought the same, but could not find better rate than $150 for 2002 Honda accord. I tried couple of brokers but could not get less than the above.
Any brokers that you know can give me better rate?
thanks in advance
