Hello Cd’s.
One of my friend in my condo. has had 2 flat tires in the past 2 days. One he fixed it by using the solution at Canadian tire by which you inject the solution in the flat tire and pump it up (for small punctures). You need to go to a tire repairer soon to have it fixed the normal way. The other one had the valve broken from the tire.
With regard to this I have 2 question for CD’s. Answers will be passed on to the person concerned.
1. Where can you get the tire puncture repaired. (I know many will say Walmart or Cdn. Tire. I am looking for options other than those where the mechanic will be pleased to repair your puncture and not scowl that it is a small job).
2. Where can I get a second hand tire fitted on the un repairable tire. Again I am looking for good garages (specilaising in second hand tire installation) who will do the service with a smile. I know one such place at Guelph, On (Wellington-Gordon st..)
The person concerned is in the square one area and is looking for places near there.
Thank you for your responses in advance

If you have CAA membership contact them and get a ball park figure from them. "They say CAA approved facilities". So look for one.
The two that you mentioned are the standard locations and their charges are posted inside their shop on their board above the cash register. (CT you have to ask.)
A patch can run between 10 and 20 dollars, depending on where you get it repaired.
Make sure that your chosen repair facility uses a patch or plug-patch combination on the INSIDE of the tire. Do not use external "plug" type repairs. These will wear out as time progresses and are not only useless, they become potentially dangerous.
Have your tire inspected by a qualified professional.

Also, depending upon where you purchased and also whose brand name it is, find out if they will fix it for free. Some are good for its life time.
Both tires are repairable.

Hello Cd’s,
I live in the square -1 area of misissauga.
I have bought a second hand tire with rim for my car which I will replace an existing slow puncture tire with rim which is existing in my car.
My question is to where I can dispose off this tire with rim for FREE or for a charge of less than $ 5. I do not want to go through the hassle of advertising in “free times newspaper” and then screening calls and waiting for the person to show up. I also have storage locker but I donot want to store this junk.
All responses appreciated.
