It is a typical TOI reporting. TOI reporting standards are very poor. It is GOI mouthpiece. For example, most important part of the news story should have been about the size of congregation of the Church. It is missing. This seems to be an Evangelical church with very small followings. The head of the Church has already written a book about the evils of Islam. No wonder he is now openly giving burn notice to gain popularity and attention secure in knowledge that authorities would not allow the Church to go ahead with the Koran burning. I doubt whether this cheap tactic made headline news in any other USA newspaper. However, TOI which is promoting “Aman Ki Asha” would not let any chance go to report such news while I doubt whether TOI would report killing of Christians in Pakistan on routine basis.
It is also interesting that some Jehadis are upset about the Koran burning project and secularists are going viral over the news but nobody made much fuss when Bamiyan Buddha were destroyed or Hindu temples are destroyed every year in Pakistan or Bangladesh or Malayasia.
Personally, I do not care whether the Church goes ahead or not with the burn project.
