Hi
I am here in Canada on Work permit and working for a IT project with a Canadian client for my company (India company). My wife is here on a dependent visa (v1- visitor).
Came to know that for skiller worker' wife, open work-permit can be issued (Ref. criteria listed in R205(c)(ii) - Spouses or common-law partners of skilled workers, CEC C41).

Please let me know if my wife can get a work permit and hence, can work in Canada. If yes, please let me know the procedure for getting the same.

she can obtain a work permit. Please consult with HRDC or a lawyer on the procedure.
